STAFF POSITIONS

Residence Manager

The Rock School for Dance Education Residence Manager cares for and supervises the residential students, assuring their safety and developmental well-being while overseeing the daily operations in the dormitory at the Marine Club Condominium, located adjacent to our Philadelphia location.

Under the supervision of the Chief Education and Student Life Officer, the Residence Manager serves as a leader in student life, fostering a healthy, supportive, and vibrant residential experience. The role plays a key part in building community by overseeing student conduct, supervising resident assistants, organizing student events and outings, and maintaining facility standards.

This is a full-year, live-in position that includes the added benefits of on-site housing and cafeteria meals as part of the compensation package. The role requires availability during evenings, weekends, and overnight hours as part of residential supervision.

This position starts August 24, 2026, and is a full-time, year-round role.

Assistant Boutique Manager

The Dance Boutique is The Rock School for Dance Education’s on-site retail store, serving students, families, and the broader Philadelphia dance community. The boutique provides essential dancewear, footwear, and accessories that support the School’s professional training programs while also welcoming dancers from across the region. Through its curated merchandise and knowledgeable staff, The Dance Boutique extends The Rock School’s mission beyond the classroom by promoting excellence in dance preparation, performance, and community engagement.

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours weekly. Experience in retail management is required. Those with a ballet dance background are encouraged to apply. The role requires work on weekends, some evenings, and some holidays.

Math Tutor

The Math Tutor supports dance students enrolled in grades 7–12 as they complete their studies through various online academic platforms. This part-time, hourly role is situated within The Rock School’s Academics Department. Primarily, it involves providing individual tutoring sessions in math subjects to help students succeed academically alongside their intensive ballet training. Optional program supervision is available.

This is a part-time position averaging 4 hours per week during the academic year. The term is from September 7, 2026, to May 14, 2027 (excluding holiday breaks). Experience working with middle and high school students is preferred.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutor

The ESL Tutor supports international dance students enrolled in our Professional Division program who are learning English as their second or third language. This part-time, hourly role is situated within The Rock School’s Academics Department. Primarily, It involves providing small group conversational tutoring sessions to help students succeed in communication and community, opening career opportunities.

This is a part-time position averaging 4 hours per week during the academic year. The term is from September 22, 2026, to May 22, 2027 (excluding holiday breaks). Experience working with middle and high school students is preferred.
