BALLET DIVISION
Our Ballet Division Program consists of an established, integrated ballet curriculum focusing on the strong classical foundations needed to build and develop a healthy dancer. Required classes in other dance forms are included to diversify skills. Accelerated classes are offered for students who wish to intensify their training schedule. Boys take specialized classes to prepare them for bravura ballet vocabulary. Pointe work for girls, which requires physical and technical readiness, is introduced incrementally through pointe preparation classes, and is integrated into the class schedule starting in Ballet 3.
Children aged 7 and older progress at their own pace from entry level Ballet 1 through Ballet 4X. Level assignment requires a placement from our faculty.

Classes are held September – June. Our curriculum is designed for year-long study, so students must be of age by August 31, 2026. The age range for Ballet 1X-Ballet 4X is approximate because students progress at their own pace. All students are required to pay a registration fee and a Spring Showcase fee.

In West Chester, The Rock School offers a Career Track Program for students who want the intensive training of the Professional Division while attending academic school in the morning. Classes begin at 1:00PM three days per week, for a total of 8.5 hours of lessons per week. The CTP program is a unique pathway allowing students to combine academic schedules with intensive daytime conservatory-style training.

2026-27 Performance Opportunities
2026-2027 Ballet Division dancers have the opportunity to participate in the annual The Enchanted Nutcracker.The Enchanted Nutcracker Fee:
Ballet Division: $185 (cast t-shirt included)
Please note that dancers enrolled in Ballet Division are required to audition for The Enchanted Nutcracker. The audition fee is $10. Dancers may be required to purchase additional costume items.
2026-2027 Ballet Division dancers are required to participate in the annual Spring Showcase. Performance dates and additional information is forthcoming.Spring Showcase Fee: $185.00
Auxiliary Showcase Costume : $100 per class (due 1/15/27) -
The first tuition installment plus the non-refundable $75 registration fee and $185 Ballet Division Spring Showcase fee are required in order for enrollment to be complete. Spring Showcase fee is due by January 15, 2027. Subsequent payments will be due by the first of each month, beginning October 1st, 2026. The payment schedule is based upon a 35 week school year. As such, some months may have fewer classes than others based upon School closures for holidays and breaks. Total tuition is divided into 9 equal installments and is not based on the number of classes per month.
Class days, times, and instructors are subject to change. Minimum of 6 students needed to run a class.
If you are a returning student you will need to create a NEW Rock School Account in order to register your dancer.

Dress Code
Dress code items are mandatory for all dancers enrolled in The Rock School’s 2026-2027 Ballet Division Program.
