JUNIOR INTENSIVE for Ages 7-11
& Current Level 1 & 1X Dancers
This introductory summer intensive experience is perfect for young students who have a passion for dance as well as those who are in the beginning years of formal ballet training. The Rock School’s outstanding faculty teach daily classes in ballet; students diversify their training with classes in jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, yoga, or stretch/conditioning. Families are invited into the studio at the end of each session to see what their children have accomplished.
Students must be at least 7 years of age by June 1, 2024; no previous ballet training or audition required. Classes are held at The Rock School’s studios in Philadelphia and West Chester. Registration closes on May 31st, 2024, for the Philadelphia sessions, and June 30th, 2024, for the West Chester sessions.

JUNIOR INTENSIVE for Ages 9-14
& Current Level 2 & 2X Dancers
Please note that dancers under the age of 10 will NOT receive any pointe instruction,
even if they train en pointe at their current studio.
The Junior Intensive sessions for ages 9-14 are an excellent precursor to The Rock School’s esteemed Summer Intensive and focus on the needs of motivated students with previous training. The Rock School’s outstanding faculty teaches daily classes in ballet and pointe preparation/pointe fundamentals; students diversify their training with classes in jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theater, Pilates, and yoga. Families are invited into the studio at the end of each session to view their dancers’ progress.
Students must be at least 9 years of age by June 1, 2024 and should be taking a minimum of 2-3 ballet classes per week to register for these sessions.
