Professional Division students train to excel in any professional environment. The school’s carefully constructed schedules expose our students to a diversity of perspectives from our from our well-rounded curriculum.
The Rock School for Dance Education has developed a reputation as one of the nation's top pre-professional training programs. The School's primary goal is to produce classically trained and versatile dancers, which The School has done for over 50 years. The Rock School's exceptional faculty, individual attention, unique in-house academic program, supervised residence program, nurturing environment, personal attention, and the success of its alumni attract dancers from around the globe.
Registration for the Professional Division is open throughout the year. Auditions & registrations are currently being accepted. The school year runs September thru June.
The Audition Process
New ballet students ages eight and up must audition with The Rock School and be placed in an appropriate level by Rock School Directors prior to enrollment. Students can either choose to schedule an in class audition, audition with us through our audition tour or if neither of the former options are possible submit a video audition. If you would like to have an In-Class Audition you must still submit a Video Audition first. Click on the button below to request an in-class audition request for either The Rock School's 2019-20 School Year program and/or the 2019 Summer Ballet Intensive.
All students are required to first submit a Video Audition. Video Auditions are accepted on an ongoing basis, as space permits. Notification in regards to acceptance is provided by email within 7 to 14 business days once video is received. INSTALLMENT TUITION PAYMENT DUE DATES:
1st Installment– due at time of registration; classes held September 3-October 5, 2019
2nd Installment– due September 30, 2019; classes held October 7-November 2, 2019
3rd Installment– due October 28, 2019; classes held November 4-November 26, 2019
4th Installment– due November 25, 2019; classes held December 2, 2019-January 18, 2020
5th Installment– due January 13, 2020; classes held January 21-February 22, 2020
6th Installment– due February 18, 2020; classes held February 24-March 21, 2020
7th Installment– due March 16, 2020; classes held March 30-May 2, 2020
8th Installment– due April 27, 2020; classes held May 4-May 30, 2020
A $25 late fee will be applied to all payments received five (5) business days after the listed due date.
*Adding classes will change the tuition price listed. Listed prices do not include the annual administrative fee.
Student must be minimum age as of September 4, 2019.
REGISTRATION & INFO
All Rock School students and parents/guardians are required to read and agree to the terms of The School's 2019-2020 Student & Parent Handbook for all Dance Program, the Agreement on page 7 of the Registration Packet must be signed and submitted to The School in order for registration to be complete.
Register for Classes
Once you are accepted and placed into a level, you may register for classes. All students are required to register for each new school year. Student may register through their online accounts or by submitting paper registration. The 2019-2020 registration packet must submitted by all scholarship students.
International students wishing to attend The Rock School should fill out the International Student Form. All international students are required to register by submitting The Rock School's Professional Division Registration packet + Professional Division Medical Packet + the last page of the 2019-2020 Professional Division Student Handbook.
The Rock School residence is located in the Marine Club Condominiums directly across the street from the Rock School. The Rock School residence occupies one floor in the Marine Club.
Rock Academics provides academic flexibility and dual preparation for our students’ artistic careers and futures in higher education. The Rock Academics Director, Robert Hodges provides daily academic supervision.
