ROOMMATE REQUESTS

Room assignments for students are based on age and room capacities.  If you'd like to request a roommate, please fill out the form below prior to moving in.  Contact the Residence Life Manager for any questions or more info.

MC ROCK RESIDENCE -
SUMMER SCHEDULE

Students must register upon arrival at the Marine Club.  On the student's arrival registration tables will be set up in the Marine Club Residence Hall. 
Registration for Marine Club residents runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm. 
Each student will obtain an assigned room key, which must be returned at the time of checkout to avoid an extra fee of $100.

      Classes begin on a Monday.

      Students are may move out earlier but not after that set date.

      There is no Saturday Class for the last weekend of your student's session.  Every session will end on a Friday, because student's move out the next day, Saturday, before noon.

      Moving in at the Marine Club should be on the Washington Avenue side. Press the buzzer and you will be admitted immediately.  If you need help transporting items, carts are available at the front desk on the first floor.   

      Check-in will be located on our second floor, building C, in the hallway.  Please do not use the main front entry for move in or out.  We will have signs posted to guide you to our floor.

      Mailing Packages to The Rock School

      Marine Club residents can pick up packages/mail at The Rock School.  Residents SHOULD NOT receive any mail at the Marine Club

      LOCATION

      The Rock School Residence is located in the Marine Club Apartment Building directly across the street from the Rock Center. The Rock School occupies one floor, which includes sixteen beautiful, large, loft-style apartments, a spacious student lounge with a large television, and a study room. Each apartment has a full kitchen, full bath, laundry room, and is air-conditioned.

      SUPERVISION

      The Marine Club Residence Managers and Assistant Staff provide twenty-four hour care for each student on an individual basis, ensuring students are well supported while living away from home. The Residence Manager and Assistant live on the floor with the students. There are security cameras in the hallway to monitor all activity on the floor, as well as 24-hour doormen/security to ensure each resident is safe.  Parents can also apply to become a Summer Intensive Chaperone!

      MEALS AND DINING

      The School provides residence students a comprehensive meal program at the Rock Bistro located on the second floor of The Rock School. Vegetarian fare is always available, and Rock Bistro friendly staff can accommodate for any unique food allergies. Menus are designed to fuel the athlete/dancer with a full schedule. Students are encouraged to make recommendations and suggestions.  

      HEALTH & WELLNESS

      The Rock School takes our student's health and well being seriously.  We know our dancers work hard everyday to get their bodies conditioned for class and upcoming performances.  The School works alongside parents and health care providers to encourage healthy lifestyles.  Students have access to a Physical Therapists, Doctors, Counselors, and Nutritionists to nurture their physical/emotional growth and development.  Contact our Student Life Manager for more information.

      WEEKEND OUTINGS

      Weekend outings are a wonderful way to enhance your summer. The Residence Manager, Assistant, Director of Rock Academics, School Directors, and Board of Trustees work together to plan exciting, educational activities, as well as fun events for the students. These activities can include (but not limited to) trips to the beach, the Philadelphia Zoo, a fabulous dinner cruise, nearby malls, 4th of July fireworks, dance performances, and theater.

      AIRPORT TRANSPORT

      Please fill out the form below for assisted transportation to or from the Philadelphia International Airport. Transportation is available to Summer Residence students only. 

      The Rock School will be offering airport transportation service for students age 8-17 who are traveling with an "unaccompanied minor" status through their respective airline ONLY. Please check with your airline for specific details regarding this service prior to contacting The Rock School.

      SHORT OUTINGS/ CURFEW

      Please check the Student Package for questions concerning short outings and curfew. 

      FAMILY & GUESTS

      Please notify a Summer Chaperone, 24 hours in advance if your dancer will be receiving guests. Guests are not allowed in the student dorms, they are allowed in the common areas and the lobby.  Students must sign out with the office and sign in up returning. 

      All Students are required to abide by the Marine Club's curfew guidelines. Chaperones know each student’s whereabouts at all times.

      All rules are designed to ensure that every student is safe at all times.
