The Rock School’s 2026 Contemporary Intensive will foster both technical and artistic exploration through training that reflects the diverse nature of contemporary dance today. Led by a world class faculty, students will be challenged to investigate their technique and open their minds to innovative ways of approaching movement. Designed for motivated students, this 1 week program will offer classes in codified contemporary techniques, while also introducing the dancers to repertory and composition. Additionally, an informal showcase of the learned repertory will be staged at the conclusion of the intensive.
AGES
Dancers must be of the required age by January 1, 2026 to participate in the program.
Ages 13-18 in Philadelphia

TUITION
1-Week: $762
Residence for Philadelphia Session: 1-Week: $840
Registration Fee: $25
Upon registering your dancer, one third of the total balance due for tuition and room and board (if applicable) is required. Additionally, all fees including registration must be submitted in order for your dancer's registration to be complete. Remaining installments for tuition and room and board will be due on March 15 and April 15. All payments submitted to The Rock School are non-refundable.
AUDITION
Dancers accepted into The Rock School Ballet Intensive are automatically accepted into the 2026 Contemporary Intensive. Those wishing to attend just the Contemporary Intensive must audition by video.
RESIDENCE
Full room and board accommodations are available at our Philadelphia location only. Students may attend the Contemporary Intensive as residents in our housing, or as commuters. Our West Chester Contemporary Intensive is currently accommodating commuters only.
