2023 Summer Residence

The Rock School is pleased to announce that we will be offering two exceptional state-of-the-art dorm facilities for our dancers this Summer! Please note that dancers will be provided with a dorm assignment closer to the start of the intensive and do not have the option of selecting a residence location.

MARINE CLUB RESIDENCE

The Marine Club dorms are a dedicated dorm floor located in the Marine Club apartment complex and serve as home to our Professional Division resident students during the school year.  Amenities include in room refrigerators and washer/dryer units as well as en suite bathrooms.  This loft style dorm site is conveniently located directly across the street from The Rock School and gives summer residents a firsthand account of daily Rock School life, including all meals prepared on site by Chef Tara and The Rock School Café.  

THE LOCATION

The Marine Club Residence is located in in the heart of South Philadelphia. A shopping center is conveniently located directly across the street form the dorms and includes a Target, Starbucks, and a Sprout’s grocery store, and more. The Marine Club is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Center City neighborhood and Philadelphia attractions.

RESIDENCE HALL

The Marine Club Residence offers loft-style living in close proximity to our studios. Each unit ranges in size and can serve two to six dancers. The dormitory floor is equipped with WIFI access, and a community lounge with cable TV, and a full kitchen. The Marine Club Residence units each include a washer and dryer free for use. The Marine Club includes a shared center courtyard.

SECURITY 

The Marine Club Residence building has 24-hour security attendants and cameras. The doors to the dormitory floor are always locked and no outside guests are permitted to enter.

DINING

The Marine Club Residents are provided with daily meals by The Rock School Café. On Sundays, when The Rock School is closed, dancers will be provided meals at the residence.

SHORT OUTINGS/ CURFEW

Every dancer must sign out when leaving the residence. Chaperones know each student’s whereabouts at all times. All rules are designed to ensure that every student is safe. More details regarding short outings and curfew will be available in the upcoming weeks.
