2019 Summer Residence

WELCOME HOME
Cabrini University Residence Check-In

Students must register upon arrival at Cabrini University.  On the student's arrival registration tables will be set up on the first floor inside West Residence Hall. Registration for Cabrini residents runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm

Signs directing ballet students to West Residence Hall will be posted at all university entrances and throughout campus. A detailed campus map will be given to each student on arrival at West Residence Hall registration tables.

THE CAMPUS

The Cabrini University is located in Lower Merion Township, one of Philadelphia’s loveliest, safest suburbs. A bank, post office, library, restaurants, movie theater, and many shops are available to students on a regular weekly basis through a shuttle service that will be provided.

RESIDENCE HALLS

West Residence Hall, is a three-story dormitory with a traditional layout (long corridors with rooms on either side) with a lower level. The main lounge, kitchenette, and soda machine are all on the first floor.  A laundry room is provided on every floor.

KEYS

The outside doors to both dorms are always locked. Each student will be given a keycard, which unlocks both the exterior door and his/her room door. Cabrini charges $100 for lost keys and will not replace the key until this fee is paid. Dancers must carry their keys with them at all times. Please be aware The Rock School makes no exception to its key replacement rule.

TELEPHONES

There are emergency telephones only. We will provide you with the phone numbers of all chaperones and the Residence Director’s office upon arrival at registration. There are also two pay phones in the Cabrini University Dining Center.

SHORT OUTINGS/ CURFEW

Every dancer must sign out when leaving the residence, even if he/she is going far from the front of the dorm. We require students who leave the residence to be in the company of at least one chaperone.

Students (13 years old and younger) are affected by the early curfew at 10pm and 11pm for students 14 years old and up. Chaperones know each student’s whereabouts at all times.

All rules are designed to ensure that every student is safe at all times.
