GINA GRACE

 

Creative Movement, Levels 1 & 1x

Gina (Angelucci) Grace began her training in Philadelphia with Carole Orlandi Barr, Marion Tonner, and later, with John White and Margarita deSaa at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet. Mrs. Grace began teaching throughout the Philadelphia area in 1991 and has been a faculty member with The Rock School since 2000. Mrs. Grace has studied Vaganova pedagogy with a special focus on the first three syllabus years.

MOLLY HAWKINS
Pre- School Dance

Molly Hawkins began her formal training under the instruction of Regina & Vadim Bogomolov of Classical Ballet of Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, during which she had the opportunity to compete in the Junior Contemporary Division of Youth America Grand Prix in 2011. She moved on to train privately under the mentorship of Alice Bassler Sullivan, founding Artistic Director of Alaska Dance Theatre & Heather C. McEwen, former Principal of Connecticut Ballet in Eagle River Ballet. The remainder of her training was completed as a Junior Company Dancer of the Island Moving Company in Newport, RI under the direction of Mikhi Olsen as well as a Junior Company Dancer of the Avery Ballet, under the mentorship of Lisa Snape Avery in Fredericksburg, VA. During her time with the Avery Ballet, Molly had the opportunity to perform a full length ballet set by Malcolm Burns of Richmond Ballet as well as attend master classes of Dame Amy Watson of the Royal Danish Ballet & private instruction of Michaela King of Madison Ballet. She has spent summers with Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival on internship with Krenly Guzman of Ventura College, Southern New Hampshire Dance Theatre, & Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. Molly is currently pursuing a B.F.A in Dance with a minor in Advertising Practices from the University of the Arts. During this time, she has performed works set by choreographer Sidra Bell & fellow students, as well as setting her own piece Shadows of Our Former Selves under the mentorship of Michael Sheridan and Meredith Glisson. She is currently dancing as a company member of Long2Philly, the 2nd company of Vanessa Long Dance Company.

ROGER LEE
Pre Hip-Hop, Hip-Hop Junior
 

Owner and Managing Director of Roger Lee Arts, LLC, an award-winning arts education and dance entertainment company he founded in 2012.  He previously served as the first Director of Dance Programming at West Park Arts Fest, Management Consultant at SHARP Dance Company, and Managing Director of Escape Velocity Dance Company. Roger wrote and self-published the e-books Roger Lee's Independent Artist Guide and Overcoming Dance Fear.  His teaching credits include University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Temple University, Eastern University, Joffrey Ballet School, Broadway Dance Center, Millennium Dance Complex, The Rock School for Dance Education, Koresh School of Dance, and Joan Myers Brown's Philadelphia School of Dance Arts.  As a professional dancer, Roger has performed live for US Vice President Joe Biden, Grammy Award-winning recording artists, nationally televised holiday specials, Philadanco's annual Founders Day Concerts, the 2016 WaWa Welcome America Festival, and the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

KELIA IDEISHI

Mrs. Grace began teaching throughout the Philadelphia area in 1991 and has been a faculty member with The Rock School since 2000. Mrs. Grace has studied Vaganova pedagogy with a special focus on the first three syllabus years.

Sarah Louis Kirk 

Sarah Kirk is a professional actor and teaching artist in Philadelphia. She has taught around the Philadelphia region with companies that include the Walnut Street Theatre, Theatre Horizon, People's Light, Montgomery Theatre and Delaware Theatre Company, among others. Sarah is also a teacher with Zoom Dance, a dance-acting-imagination program for young people that offers classes and themed parties. She is thrilled to be teaching with the Rock School for the second year in the Pre-Gymnastics class.
