PLEASE NOTE: Students age 9 and above are required to take a placement audition class in addition to submitting this form. The placement class needs to be taken prior to submitting the form.

The student audition class is a regularly scheduled class. A $30 audition fee is required.

AUDITIONS

Girls and boys 3 to 9 years of age who are new to The Rock School and who have little or no previous ballet training need not audition for admission to the Early Dance and Formal Divisions. Registration forms for these children may be obtained by contacting The Rock School at 215.551.7010. Students are admitted to The School on a first-come, first-served basis with priority extended to re-enrolling Rock School pupils in good standing.

Any student with previous training between 9 and 19 years old is required to audition. The Rock School welcomes prospective students to call and schedule an audition for enrollment during the current year. Students are welcome to audition for The Rock School at any time. Students enrolling after late January may not have the opportunity to participate in the annual Showcase.

Audition fees are $30.00.

 

REGISTRATION

All students are welcome to apply for admission to The Rock School.

The 2008-2009 School season is comprised of four consecutive quarters, with each quarter lasting approximately nine weeks. Eligible students wishing to enroll in The School for the start of the season must submit:

• A completed registration form

• A completed release of claims and medical treatment authorization form

• A payment of the registration fee plus the first quarter's tuition before the first day of classes

Those seeking to enroll after the first day of classes may enter The School only if space is available. Enrollment is generally understood to be for the entire year, September to June. Students are automatically invoiced for each new quarter's tuition. Quarters designate billing cycles, not new sessions.

 

PHOTOGRAPHS

Every registration form for The Rock School Levels 1-5 must be accompanied by three photographs of the student, each no larger than 4"x 6". Professional photos are NOT required; clean, clear snapshots will suffice.

*On pointe for any students studying pointe

Each photo must be labeled on the reverse side with student's full name, age, and assigned level.

At the time of the audition, if students do not have the three required photos with them, The School will take the photos for a fee of $20.

 

WITHDRAWAL

Any student withdrawing from The School during the course of the 2008-2009 season must provide the School Registrar with written notice of the withdrawal prior to the conclusion of the student's final quarter.
