Performances

The Rock School understands the value of performance opportunities for young dancers. Each Summer Intensive offers an opportunity for participants to show what they've learned throughout the program:

BALLET INTENSIVE
Ballet Intensive students in Levels 2 through 6 who have attended all six weeks are showcased in a workshop performance at one of Philadelphia's exemplary theaters.  This show features excerpts from popular classics and original variations, short ballets and jazz routines choreographed and staged by summer faculty. The performance is open to students' families and friends and helps bring the summer to a rousing and triumphant finish.

In addition, selected 2010 Ballet Intensive students attending the 6-week session (Levels 2 through 6) perform in the spectacular open-air Philadelphia Mann Center for the Performing Arts for thousands of under served children.

JAZZ INTENSIVE
All students who participate in the full 2-week Jazz Intensive program are included in an end of program performance. Choreography is taught throughout the week and students are given the opportunity to show this choreography to parents, family and friends. More information will be included with dancer acceptance packets.
