Ballet Intensive

The Summer Intensive is a selective, audition-only program that immerses aspiring dancers in a 2, 4, or 6 week ballet program and experienced dancers in a 4 or 6 week ballet program. The Rock School Summer Intensive will be held from June 29 to August 7, 2009. Students ages 9-20 may audition. We also accept video/DVD auditions for students unable to attend any audition.

During the Intensive, classes are conducted at The Rock Center on Mondays through Fridays for all levels, in addition to Saturdays for levels 3X through 6. As a result of this intensive training, students progress rapidly and increase their abilities significantly.

We provide a residence program for Summer Intensive students. It is not required that students live at the residences, although highly recommended due to the rich experience of cultural excursions, outings and performances, plus the companionship of their peers.

New for 2009: SAT and PSAT Prep
The Rock School will offer SAT and PSAT Prep from StudyPoint, providing personalized tutoring for success. The program includes 18 and 12 hours of instruction, books, flash cards and online tools. Five students will be assigned to each tutor. Availability is subject to enrollment. First come, first served.
